Globalization: the increasing interconnectedness of different parts of the world through common processes of economic, environmental, political, & cultural change. Early forms of globalization, an example is spice trade. The new thing about globalization is the intensification, connections around the world connecting different things (people, products, ideas). Never had a such an interconnectedness world to the extent we have today. Movement of goods around the world, show us how we, as consumers, are intimately connected to the world and places around the world. Most of the goods we use on a daily basis come from different parts of the world which make us linked to these other places. These commodities link us to other parts of the world.
