This week"s reading on epidemiology is key to our health and healthcare system as it shows the understanding of the causes and outcomes of diseases. As species of earth, we have learned to adapt and evolve everyday. Our bodies slowly become stronger to fight off viruses, diseases and illnesses. We were only able to do that with the understanding and study of how people got infected. John snow studied people who got sick to cholera in london, england. He plotted it on his map the deaths of people and discovered there is a linkage between the sources of drinking water and environments. Snow showed that if don"t take the time to understand health, then we cannot improve ourselves and evolve. Epidemiologists are people who conduct studies and report results, which help researchers to find a strand to help cure, or prevent the spread of diseases.
