Today s lecture focused on public health which is concerned with the health of major challenges for public health populations instead of individuals. In order for professionals in charge of implementing studying large populations and track trends in effective surveillance systems is the need for health and other public health activities. The goal of public health is to monitor a variety of medical diseases and conditions quickly to intervene as soon as possible. The overall idea of public health collectively is to prevent disease, prolong life and promote good health. Furthermore, one concept which i found useful was the case surveillance systems. The purpose of the system is to collect data on individual cases of a health event which pre- determined case definitions in regards with the details of the case. Case surveillance has been the focus of most public health surveillance and is used to analyze case counts and rates overall throughout various geographic clustering patterns.
