Public policy has to do with public actors pertaining to organization of societies usually nation states (foreign or domestic). Foreign policy has to do with courses of action by govt"s concerning relations w/ other nations concerning possibly trade, commerce, war/defense etc. Domestic policy has to do with concerning issues within nations borders such as education, health, energy and etc: there are categories such as civic, political, economic policy and social policy (health ts into this) Policy decisions depend on the struggle for power and resources for collaboration. A health care system that makes comprehensive health care available on the basis of need and independently from ability to need, setting that up shows a good equitable health policy. Three crucial components: structural, behavioural and relational. Policymakers choose behavioural approaches to be less accountable and its more easier. shifting blame on individuals rather than focusing on the problems within the system.
