Way of life that is more sustainable than ours, also joyous and rich. Pollution (air and water), unemployment, gap between rich and poor, devicedness and depression. Caused by outside economic pressures, caused competition and changed their culture. Introduction to globalization (most powerful force of change today) - economic process, focuses is pro t not people. Forced them to work in elds, mines and plantations. Also caused a lot of debt and poverty. Local business and banking: economy on human scale shows impact of our choices, business becomes more accountable, small businesses more equitable and sustainable, local banking and local pensions are more stable institutions. Thursday, march 16, 2017: companies get on bandwagon to seem as though they are local, biodiverse farms produce 3-5x more food than industrial production.
