Stereotypes (black people are good basketball players because we see them on tv and they all play. This is a stereotype and there is no biological basis to it) From a scientific point of view race does not exist: it is socially constructed and by a scientific point of view there is no difference (cid:498)racially(cid:499) between people. Race is a social construct and it is not related to biology. Refers to discursive processes and practices that produce racial identity. To racialize is to differentiate or categorize someone according to their race. It is to impose a racial character or context on them. One can also perceive or experience something in racial terms. Since we live in a racialized society it is very hard to differ from that norm and we tend to live a very racialized life without even realizing it.
