Racism today: racism has become deracialized; not saying that the old form of racism doesn"t exist. She was a health worker, medical engineering technologist, she was subjected to overt racism and sexism; 27 year odl black women; 1 year adna half subjected to taunting, assault, bullying and harassment. Went to hr but her complaint was not followed up; tried to get a job elsewhere in the university health network, but she couldn"t get the job, because of alleged lack of skills and so on. Complained to the hospital diversity manager and followed up on her complaint; concluded that she was in fact working in a poisoned work environment (pwe). Pwe general sense of discomfort and being marginalized and not being looked at rightly. If you are working in that area, then you are also poisoned. Could affect you even if you"re not a person of color. Walker: once she was vindicated; she went public with it.
