Book of exodus moses brought his brother aaron to speak to the pharaohs. As a baby, moses was brought to the court; court wanted to see where he came from. Moses was presented with shiny gold and hot coal. Angels pushed him away from the gold and pushed him towards the coal. The coal touched his lips and thus, he developed a speech impediment. Rabbis tell this tale as a filler for how moses couldn"t speak properly. The core of the torah and the talmud. Jews lived in two different areas and were known as: ashkenazim north, central parts of europe, sephardim spain, morocco, portugal. Had their own government, their own trade; all had to do with the rulers. 1492 tens of thousands of jews were expelled from spain from ferdinand and isabelle. Jews were blamed for the killing of jesus, the black plague and so on; constant progroms in europe and england.
