You will have begun to: sort through the many forms and layers of evil and human suffering. Now you see, lone starr, that evil will always triumph, because good is dumb. It is certainly one of the many options we face if we wish to reconcile the nature of god with the existence of evil. Let us suppose that the criticism of the proofs of god"s existence fail and that we"re all good, committed (rational) theists. God exists, that we can prove that he exists, and that he is what we believe him to be. Among other things, god is the following: (1) god is all-good. In other words, god is perfectly just, completely compassionate, all-loving, fully merciful, etc.
