In the religion of islam, a spiritual journey must be performed by every muslims at least once in their lifetime, known as the hajj. Hajj is the highest form of worship as it symbolizes the spiritual stages of the prophets (bianchi, 2004). Hajj is one of the five pillars of islam as it is an obligation for all muslims, male or female to perform. As one of the five pillars of islam, hajj, makes up the core of the islamic belief and defines a muslim. There are several ayats (verses) in the quran that mentions hajj and where god speaks to his followers about the importance of the hajj pilgrimage and the conditions required to perform hajj.
