Emancipation- the fact or process of being set free from legal, social, or political restrictions; liberation: the emancipation of feminist ideas. After the french revolution the jews were the money landers and give loans, give mortgage to the french jews and others. Pseudo science- racial theory, things that can be proven scientifically. Anthropologists, start to interest themselves with human classifications (imagined jews and scary and different- not savages). jews started moving into europe in larger numbers around the year 1000. Enlightenment: a trend characterized by emphasis on reason over faith and tradition, rejection of dogma, a strong belief in progress, proclamation of the inherent equality of man, and the importance of the individual. 1791- jews in the south, are granted rights. He also argued that jews should be eliminated from trade so that they can try new things.
