Mary shelley"s novel frankenstein, is a great novel that portrays romanicism. During the ime mary shelly was wriing this novel, she was inluenced by the ime period, her personal life, and social trends. The industrial revoluion that occurred in england changed the way people were living and perceiving the world. Before this period, literature was all about poliics and religion. The industrial revoluion shited the literature from being about poliics to emoions and art. The romanic period was an important transiion for literature as people started realizing there is more to life. It encouraged people to be more creaive and enjoy life by listening to music, reading as a hobby, and creaing art. In the novel, victor frankenstein is considered to be very cruel towards his creaion. Victor frankenstein shows cruelty in the novel through discarding his creature ater he creates him, tricking his creature into thinking he will give him a life partner, and planning to kill his creaion.
