Moments when we want to be older than our age and moments we want to be younger: getting older can be seen as positive or sometimes negative, contradictory / opposite of each other. Ageing should not be thought of in extremes (as negative or positive: can be applied in many other contexts, doesn(cid:495)t show you the whole spectrum, it is just the dominant stories that are negative or positive. Dominant story of ageing is still depicted by fragility and weakness. Ageing needs to be resisted: individualistic and medicalized, cosmetic surgery, anti-aging routines or drugs. If ageing is resisted / changed, it should not be obvious: cosmetic surgery should not be obvious. As men get older, depending on who they are and what their capital is, ageing can.
