Critical thinking: to identify how power operates ask 5w + 1h. Social context: how someone reacts depending on physical and social environment. Social constructions: idea or notions that appear to be natural and obvious to people who accept it but may not be the reality. Ex: girls wear pink, boys like darth vader because darth vader is a boy who exerts power. We attach meaning to traits of what is male or female. Social construction is learned through institutions, interactions, culture. The lens through in which we look at and think about the world. When you look out the window you see the scenery, the state of window and how dirty is it affects the way you see the scenery. Paradigm of kin1000 is social construction: -we give meaning to things. Social construction occurs in relation to social, economic, and political processes. Paradigm shift: paradigms replace one another and change people"s way of thinking about the world.
