KINE 2031 Lecture Notes - Lecture 2: Ethmoid Bone, Fibrocartilage, Chondrocyte
Document Summary
Most top of the bone (towards head not feet) Articular cartilage (type of hyaline cartilage) covers the top of the epiphysis. Hyaline cartilage: type of connective tissue found in adults, and also the template for which most bones develop (found in fetuses) the process of bones forming from cartilage is called. Red marrow (cancellous bone) found in the epiphysis. Middle of the bone with yellow marrow found in the cavity of the bone. Epiphysis has cancellous bone (red marrow) and articular cartilage which seperates the epiphyseal plate from the diaphysis cavity. Osteoblast makes osteocyte and when becomes old osteoclast breaks it down and osteoblast makes a new one. The bone located on the west lateral sides of the skull that composes the upper sides and upper posterior of the skull. The forehead of the skull, also makes up the east lateral side right in front of the parietal bone. Right behind the mandible (around the ear area)
