Inflammatory markers are il 6, tnf alpha and hs-crp. Inflammation can cause cad, stroke, diabetes, chronic hear failure, promote atherosclerosis, obesity acute coronary symptoms. Inflammation increase plaque deposition, increase plaque instability, increase blood clotting, abnormal glucose metabolism. The are two types of inflammatory substances- pro inflammatory and anti inflammatory types. Il6 is an inflammatory substance. it is a marker of inflammation. It promotes lipolysis (lipid breakdown) and fatty acid oxidation. If il6 is chronic it can lead to obesity and type 2 diabetes. Il6 signaling: the il6 attracts to the gp130 receptor, cause a cascade in the cell that activates stat 3, the jak activates the phosphorylation of stat 3. the receptor changes them to combine. And form stat3: the stat 3 goes on to activate the acute phase proteins and socs 1, when there is a lot of socs. the socs1 attaches to the jak and inhibits the changes to the.
