The reason for such marginalization lay in the fact that middle class homes across the world were hiding the income stagnation through borrowing. But when the global market crashed all of a sudden millions of middle class households found themselves facing enormous declines in their income. And thus inequality was thrust into the spotlight. Inequality: a new approach for the age of globalization, written by branko milanovich uses theoretical hypotheses and empirical data to provide a new approach to studying global inequality and the implications it presents. While the book is not without faults, it overall remains a successful narrative showing the progressive changes and future implications of globalization and inequality.
