Ex: some s is non p -> +s(-p) All non strange people are non philosophers -(-p) + (-s) These two sentences mean the same thing so its equivalent. We cancel out terms that have any contradictory operators in them. Some actions that are legal are unjust, but no morally permissible action is unjust. So some morally legal actions are not morally permissible. Dr. martin is a professor, and she is also a good writer. What"s left means the argument is valid. Since no banker is irresponsible, every banker is punctual; for all responsible people are punctual. Not all rock stars are rich, but not some rock stars own bmws. Therefore some non rich people people own bmws.
