Prove a point by creating evidence, evidence is called premises. Abortion is the subject and it being wrong is the predicate. Abortion is wrong because anything that ends a life is wrong. That is a reasoning because it has a point and it is being backed up. Reasoning/ argument is a type of discourse which tries to prove a point ( conclusion ) by appealing to evidence ( premise/s ). Informational discourse is a type of discourse which tries to make true claims about the world. Imperative discourse is the discourse of giving commands of orders. Eulogistic discourse is the type of discourse which offers praise. Normative discourse is discourse of value or worth. Law -an attempt the turn ethics and values to something where you get a punishment for not following your ethics or values.
