Document Summary

Uranus and neptune are very similar in size. Rotates on its side -axial tilt of around 90 degrees. Greenish colour comes from presence of methane. Solid core with thick layer of water/ice making up large part of interior. Neptune: dynamic atmosphere (much quieter in uranus) One of the windiest places in the solar system. Great dark spot observed by voyager during flyby. White, cirrus-like clouds above the main cloud deck: eight satellites. Only one orbit since we discovered it. Moons are smaller compared to other moons. Ripped apart and now assembled could be because of uranus being tilted on side. Triton: this is a largest moon of neptune"s. It is thought this might actually be a captured object, since it orbit around neptune retrograde: like many of the other outer moons, this object is made up of a significant percentage of water ice. Interesting the surface seems to hold very few craters.
