Biology- is the study of living organism and their environments. All living organisms share similar basic characteristics: are organized, acquire materials and energy, are homeostatic, respond to stimuli, reproduce and grow, have an evolutionary history. Cell- the smallest structural and functional unit of an organism. Humans are multicellular, because they"re composed of many different types of cells. !1: elastic bres: yellow, contain elastin, a protein that is not as strong as collagen but is more elastic. Wednesday, september 23, 2015: fibrillin (gene): is a component of elastic bres, and this mutations cause a decease in the elasticity, such as aorta. Fibrous connective tissue: exist in two forms: loose brous tissue and dense brous tissue, both connective tissues have cells called broblasts containing white collagen. Matrix: is a term that includes ground substance and bres: loose brous connective tissue: supports epithelium and many internal organs. its presence in lungs, urinary bladder and arteries allows them to expand.
