Difference between gatekeepers (past and present) versus now- in the online sphere, you are the gatekeepers of information, you get to decide if information is credible or not. The online world gives you lots of information from a number of sources. The problem of being your own gatekeeper- you are trying to assess information that comes from websites you don"t know anything about. There can be negative factors of figuring out if information is credible or reliable.
