Major idea: new technology involved atomic weaponry. Atomic bomb used on japanese by americans and few years after the soviets has done so as well. Much of the war itself was because of the threat of nuclear war on. Ideology: a way of looking at the world/world view: collection of ideas often imposed upon members of a given society by those who are already in power, many kinds of ideology (political, racial, etc) Politics has always played a role in shaping scientific and technological. Key point: connection between political ideology of a given country and the time of science research and technology they invested. Relationship between science technology and political ideology: understand that there are significant parts between the three. Ideologically correct science: relationship involves rewards and punishments. Value free science: deals with persisting belief in society that science as a disciple is free from any kind of bias and prejudice.
