Document Summary
Mass is a measure of how much matter an object possesses or the amount of atoms that an object has. If we were to add up the number of grams in all the atoms possessed by an object, we would get at the objects mass. The number of atoms that an object possesses is a fixed quantity, meaning no matter where you put that object, earth, moon, or out in space somewhere, its number of atoms, its amount of matter would not change. If we have a dog that has a mass of 1kg that dog has the exact same mass whether that dog is on earth or on the moon, or in a whole other solar system. Gravity: an attractive force (a pull) exerted by all objects with mass; the greater the mass, the stronger the pull. This means humans have gravity, we are currently pulling on all of the objects and people that are all sitting around us.
