Volaneos also throw large amounts of ash and dust into the atmosphere. The ash is thrown high enough that it is picked up by the high air currents and can circulate. Other planets such as jupiters moon have active volcanoes. The type of rock can tell us a lot about information about the place it was found. Important to know abiut the rock since it tells us the physical processes that are occurring on a planets surface. Analysis can be done on the minerals in the rock. Earth consists of 3 types of rocks. Sedimentary from material that is deposited eg limestone and mudstone. Metamorphic from existing rock being exposed to pressure and/or higher. Igneous from volcanoes, starts as lava eg. basalat or granite temperatures -> like slate and marble. So(cid:373)e o(cid:271)je(cid:272)ts have (cid:373)ag(cid:374)eti(cid:272) fields a(cid:374)d so(cid:373)e do(cid:374)"t. Some things may a lot and some the opposite. Venus has no magnetic field we cant detect.
