B cells clone themselves: antibody binds to antigen neutralizing it , memory t-cells and b-cells are left behind. Punctures cell membranes of infected cells, and thus killing them. Turn off the immune system after a fight has been won. Retain information about the shape of the antigen. Allergies: allergies occur when your immune system mistakes harmless cells for harmful invaders. If you"re allergic to peanuts, your immune system recognizes that one of the proteins in peanuts as dangerous: your antibody strikes against the peanut.
