Difference: lock understands state of nature more optimistically - liberty, generally follow the laws of nature. Understand their behaviour in relation to one other through morality and reason. State of nature is not a state of war. Most people most of the time recognize other rights liberty, property, and labour. Right to property is defined through nature. Mild transgressions in society which creates difficulties. When there is infringement on natural rights, without any arrangement in society there is no authority to judge or regulate. Everyone is vulnerable to individual interpretations of justice.
