Power: types of power, political power, control of, or influence on, the state; ability to make/influence political decisions, economic power, control of economic assets: in the hands of the private sector or state. The public sector is bigger than the private sector in canada: military power, ability to wage/threaten war or to compel others through intimidation or deterrence. Special interests lobby: lobby affects political decision which affect the economy. Depends on the situation of the country, the socioeconomic status, etc. In every capitalist economy, there"s always less demand than supply. Power to is to generate consent to achieve goals. Collectively, by joining with others in a free and voluntary way. Associated with visions of a good society, based on the ideals of freedom, equality, justice, solidarity, democracy. Power over is forcing people to do something they otherwise wouldn"t. The more power to an individual has, the freer the individual is.
