Those who live in fear, seek to serve their self interest and to gain control of their safety. ie, to gain more land to gain more property and protection. Without overarching power to set the rules for states, all states will act in persuit of their own interest (anarchy/conflict). Military is important to gain and seek, and control power. We ought to beconcernedof victims of enquality of all types. care for people who die of starvation just as much as for those who die in terror attacks. It is significant that we dont know the numbers because we are not drawn to be interested by media or government, etc. All politics is the struggle for power, but plays out differently in international politics. We all live within borders and states, only our military and police are aloud to use force.
