Smoking during pregnancy: health problems for both the baby and the mother, complications during birth, premature birth, lower iq, high chance of sudden infant death syndrome (sids) Alcohol and pregnancy: fetal alcohol syndrom, facial deformities, brain and neurological problems. Long term effects include: permanent and life long damage, which causes impairment to both physical and social aspect of the kids life. Re exes at birth: feeding, rooting (which helps for breast feeding because they move their head towards whatever their chest is resting on, grasping, so that they can hold onto things.
