Document Summary

By doing this i associated a positive outcome to stopping/decreasing an undesired behavior. Also when i was anxious: i attempt to control the antecedents but trying not to put myself in those situations. For example i bite my nails when i know i am going to be late for work or an appointment, i leave a bit early so i can avoid feeling stressed or nervous. I would also try and keep my hands occupied when i feel anxious: graph. Implementing a behavior modification program: my with the program was to decease the frequency of my nail biting to once pair day. This helped me stir away for situations that triggered my nail biting: the learning principle that best describes this phenomenon is generalization. Which is the tendency to respond in the same way to stimuli that are similar to the conditioned stimuli.
