Two directions- growth and development occurs in regular directions reflecting definite and predictable patterns or trends. Proximodorsal development comes from center axis (spine) out to the proximity, occurs not only in prenatal structure but also in postnatal, child develops arm movements before fine motor finger ability. Asynchronous growth not all parts of the body grow at once and at the same time at same rate.
