How to attract a partner: propinquity: nearness or proximity. Signal availability, facilitate interactions among people, foster familiarity: familiarity: mere exposure, similarity: similar/dissimilar, attractiveness: facial/body. Couples who are successful have similarity in facial/body attractiveness. Women tend to prefer something different in the face then men. What attracts women: larger eyes, prominent cheek bones, larger chin and a big smile. What attracts men: larger eyes, smaller noses, small chin, prominent cheekbones, narrow cheeks, higher eyebrows, large pupils and big smile. The average face is the most attractive face: arousal: physiological. Why average faces are attractive: symmetrical, familiar to us, best example of a prototypical face in each population. Excited over similarities its not important what you share the overlap on. Eye contact- the more eye contacts the more attracted.
