All of the relationship between identical twins reared apart, is due to heredity and gives direct representation of it: h = (rid = rfr) x 2 (id = identical together and fr = fraternal together). It does not mean iq was or is particularly important in our evolution: shared vs. unshared sources of variation, in 1987, a significant amount of research in this area, plomin and daniels came to a remarkable conclusion.
