Somersaulting: use vison to perform this somersaulting action. People can use optic flow to judge where they are heading, people also rely on optic flow to balance. Optic flow neurons neurons in the medial superior temporal area of monkey respond to flow pattern. Somersaulting: had to be perform very precisely in a short-time. We used optic flow to perform somersaulting behaviours. Invariant info: properties that remains constant while observer is moving. Self-produced info also help us to keep our balance. Keep the floor stable but keep the wall moving.
