Social psychology is about understanding our connections with one another, and how they influence on how we feel and think. The study of in which a person"s thoughts , feelings and behaviours are influenced by the real, imagined and implied presence of others. Uses scientific methods to explain such phenomenon , which includes scientific method (technique for investigating phenomena , acquiring new knowledge) and hypothesis. Self presentation = how people work to convey certain images of themselves to others. Social perception = how people form impressions of and make inferences about other people and events. Social cognition = describes how we think about people and the social world. Peoples thoughts and behaviour are influenced not only by what other people think or do, but also what they imagine other people think or do. Self fulfilling prophecy, the process by which peoples expectations about a person lead them to elicit behaviour that confirms these expectations.
