Assume that the class does not know the topic and spend the most time on section 1. Address the population, talk about the disorder (symptoms, prevalence rates, diagnostic criteria in the dsm-v). What techniques have been used with the population, how they work and what a session might look like. What has research shown that shows about behaviour being a strength, how does the population benefit from it. There are techniques we use to get people to perform a target behaviour. Used to increase the frequency of the target behaviour to happen; addressing a behavioural deficit. These are techniques used to get people to stop performing a target behaviour.
