There is a correlation between health and race, and a specific location. ex. There are times when minority populations are affected by the environment. There exists a strong correlation between race, class and the environment and health. More than 80% of people living in urban areas are expected to air quality levels exceeding the world who guidelines. 98% of cities in low- and middle income countries with more than 100,000 inhabitants who do not meet who air quality guidelines. As urban air quality declines, risk of stroke, heart disease, lung cancer, and chronic and acute respiratory diseases, including asthma, increases for the population. Nearly 90% of air-pollution related deaths occur in developing countries with nearly 2 out of 3 occurring in south east asia. Ninety-four per cent are due to noncommunicable diseases.
