He talks about the impacts of social identity: ethnicity and culture: shared history, values, language, traditions that are sources of strength; these also can be racialized . Class matters: poverty s a significant factor shaping educational experience. It is a significant factor that cannot be overlooked. And likewise so is privieldge: the dei article is a great example of this, point that is brought up in the readings today is that class does not only explain.
