No decrease in general knowledge mental parameter left intact. Response time slower longer for brain to focus on information and react to it: longer to respond to questions. Age related changes can affect sensory perception vision loss social isolation, apathy and depression. Appearance, behaviour, cognition and thought process (abct). Full mental status examination systemic check of emotional and cognitive functioning. Aphasia impairment of language ability secondary to brain damage.
