Today, markets and market-like practices are extending their reach in almost every sphere of life. In what ways : the commodification of books, 2. the privatization of prisons, 3. the commercialization of governments and universities, these three examples shows one of the most powerful social and political tendencies in our life. Prisons: prisons actually is the province of federal government, but since the mid- 1980s, more and more prison become the private prison business because the government contract with private company to get profit. Book: we can see the bookshop, some books shows in the window or on the display table at the front of the store. That because manager or sales might think these books are interest or important to readers. But now, this condition become less and less, publishers would pay to bookstores, in another word is bribe for displaying their own books, because this way can be easier to sell books.
