Morton had ideas of human difference and known for theories involving race. Deepened the idea of popular consciousness involving race. Morton was a physician and later a professor at upenn. Craniometry- practice of taking measurements of skulls finding out the volume of the skull. Morton had an interest in skulls because he believed that the physical size of skull had a physically large brain which turned into an assumption of greater intelligence. Example: images of over-sized brains relating to hyper intelligence. These examples directed to the assumption of morton.
