Humans as social beings & the question of human nature. Human nature can be defined as the main characteristics and behaviours that define human beings. Human nature is the result of a combination of factors, including innate personality characteristics and temperament. Humans are embodied beings but we are not solely defined by our bodies and our biology psychology and culture have major roles. The problem of making universal claims about human nature. The problem of biological determinism from lombroso to contemporary genetics and evolutionary biology. Social darwinism: an ideology that is used to justify social inequality as simply a natural division between rich and poor where the rich are seen as more fit and thus more deserving.
