Basically what this means, is, people come together as a community and pool their resources or skills together, so they can beneit from one another. Whoever is involved in the co-operative are involved with the beneits they get from the co-operative. For example, a consumer co-operative buy everything in bulk so, they save money, but still have enough to provide for the members. This co-operative provides secure jobs, protects from the local government, protects the environment and safeguards cultural heritage, (2005, p 22).
