Sex is what you study if your a science student, its actual biological differences. Gender is what you study if you"re a social science student. How do we de ne whats masculine and whats feminine. Women"s inequality: caused by capitalism, and patriarchy, capitalism: the inequality between owners and workers, patriarchy: male domination over women. The employers needed more workers so they used women and immigrants. In the early 1900"s teaching was the only career that led to women getting a pension. In 1916, women won the right to vote, in alberta, manitoba, and saskatchewan rst. Women"s participation in the market labour force increased because as the quality of work for their husbands decreased, they had to get to work to make ends meet and get enough money for their families. It was also in part because of feminists pushing for equality. A family wage is when you pay a person enough to bring home and provide for his family.
