Political economy - predates the emergence of economics as a science. Deals with the political realm and the private realm and the interrelation between them. Jurisprudence - the study and theory of law. Seeks to understand: legal reasoning, the philosophical and ethical aspects of law, legal systems, the social and historical contexts of law, legal institutions. Property (john locke) - property has a natural and theological foundation. Use of land which legitimates its apportionment to particular individuals. Appropriation of land is justified by the very fact that we need to eat to survive. We use land to harvest to eat and survive which is why it"s okay to take possession of land. Labour mixing theory solidifies legal right to ownership. Our right to possess something comes about from our work upon it.
