Maps, origins, environment & languages continued: draining- the lands ability to let out water. Humans have lived on africa longer than anywhere else on the planet. Languages in africa: many different languages, multilingualism. In many forms which are all part of education, usually verbally and in writing. Religion: some regions have been islamised but not arabized. Islam being the religion and shared belief across borders. Arab is a culture usually localized to the middle east and northern regions of africa. The largest muslim country in all of africa is nigeria with egypt coming in second. Spoken in the southern sahara from the nile to congo: niger-congo. Main languages: bantu-congo, eastern adamawa, kwa, mande, voltaic. Spoken across africa from senegal to cape of good hope. Bantu is the most spoken language: afro- semitic. Come from a diverse range of languages. More than 70 languages with more than 467 million speakers.
