Vanier: knowledge of anything, is the light in something: it is the light of human being that enables them to know something, light being reason, the knowledge of anything is the reason in something. A human being the potential to realise self actualities: in this case, none of us are humans b/c we haven"t done that yet. So what are these virtues? virtues aren"t that strong yet: intellectual virtues; 5 types. The guy does something ethical for the women. He turns a sewage ground into a child"s playground. Knowing how to make a truly good piano. The piano is an example of a truly good existence. So for aristotle the idea of playing good music for others: moral virtues is justice. So in courage, if you are afraid of spiders, you cannot be courageous. The type of person who has fully mastered his animal instinct.
