Client: i have had a summer that went better than i expected. I just wish he would understand and acknowledge my needs. Counsellor: you seem to have had some good experiences with your husband this summer, but needs remain unmet! . Client: i don"t want to leave him, but i can"t stand being told again that he has my best interests at heart. Counsellor: you are committed to the marriage, however are tired of being told to understand him when you are asking to be understood . Client: i need to learn to listen to him better, i have to stop taking things the wrong way. When he told me, he was going for a walk, i thought he didn"t want me to come. When i ask him that, he said if he never said i couldn"t come along.
