This week"s readings are about the indigenous peoples and their perspectives and i have learned a lot more than what i knew already after the class lecture on it and the readings i did. Furthermore, canadian culture is seen as neutral or devoid of power. In other words, canadian culture is the norm by which other groups are observed or measured. Moreover, white nation is the myth that canada was and is a white" country even though it has no foundation, yet it is part of our national consciousness. Seems that white power has really done a great job at erasing the history of canada and pretending it never happened. For instance, the history of canada is all about the native peoples that were on the land first and therefore, is and will always be originally their land. Canada is considered or viewed as a white nation by many people and society.
